I happen to live in a part of the country with a relatively high percentage of black people (a percentage that is approximately five times as high as that of, say, Lincoln, Nebraska), and although whites still outnumber blacks by more than three to one, I can say without hesitation that I have encountered far more openly racist black people here than openly racist whites. In fact, if some of the comments about âwhite boysâ had been made about black people, it would have made a great stir on the nightly news and would have led to protests in the streets, but due to the double standard that currently exists in our culture, racism only counts if it is committed by whites. In other words, itâs the usual liberal hypocrisy. |
