this is not an article on how Christians should respond To being a target of Shooters, it's a worldly call to unite with ALL religions to "figure this out". There is not ONE mention of Jesus Christ, not one. Ours is not to figure out how to stop shootings, but to present and live out the truth of CHRIST before a ever darkening world. There are shootings, "minister", because men's hearts are exceedingly wicked. It's ironic that this minister writes this op-Ed from the same magazine that declared God is Dead a few decades ago.
what does Carson's view, or lack of, on the age of the earth have to do with his ability to be president? Does not God put in place rulers? If God will have Carson as president, it will not matter our opinions.
I can never understand such ridiculous articles. Extinction? Who can stay the hand of God? The only reason that part of the earth is not consumed like Sodom and Gommorah is because Christians are still there! Human finite understanding and naive arrogance is on display in this article.

Over this past weekend I picked up a small book filled with Christmas Sermons delivered by Charles H. Spurgeon. He delivered them, obviously, during the Christmas season. He doesn't embrace or bind his congregation to NOT embrace the season, but does take opportunity to USE the season to preach Christ. All this lights and tinsel, Saturnalia and Yule tide, Mass and 3 Magi talk is rather peripheral to the main course of taking EVERY opportunity, and SEASON, to preach Christ.

Mourner, My statement is in reference to the judges oath argument; that they matter. In a pluralistic/relativistic society that has denied a transcendent absolute authority, God Himself, then an oath has no validity. Because Kim swore an oath to God, like the judge did himself, she has fulfilled that oath because God's law trumps a perverted law. The judge is the one disloyal to his oath.
You are spot on Allie. Kim Davis wasn't hired, she was elected. Hence the reason she can order the other clerks to NOT administer licenses from prison. Plus, there are too many who believe she is breaking some law, she is not. SCOTUS did not affirm a law, they subjectively created one via judicial activism or fiat. Further, this judge stated that oaths still mean something, yet, oddly enough, doesn't acknowledge his own sworn oath TO GOD to fulfill the duties of his own office. However, she's a witness to her true oath to Christ and I celebrate it. Praise God in Christ!

Praise God for Kim Davis' witness, even while being sent to jail. She is a witness to God's glory over man's lunacy. I know it's small, but you can go to the Rowan County Clerk's website and send a message...we need to flood that site and flood this nation with truth, which is Christ! Thank you sister Davis.
2012 Democratic convention platform had NO mention of God. They had to take a delegate "yea/nay" vote in which a conspicuous amount delegates voted no. Democrats SUPPORT Planned Parenthood, same-sex marriage, abolition of even a hint of God in the public forum. Do the political/ moral math. Ms. Davis is obviously confused politically but seems sure of her faith.

The American people, Left or Right, are acting like the Jews in 1 Samuel ( I think) that demanded a king. That, if you look at it, is what people desire. They want THEIR version of a king.
