I just watched it.

I liked how Ben brought it down to the brass tacks that this is a battle over worldviews...not science. Depending on what worldview you start with...determines on which side of the wall you are on. This in turn affects your view of orgin...that determines your belief system. When you apply this to science....will lead to how you interpret the evidence.
If you hold to evolution...random changes over long periods of time...and the evidence shows design and information that challenges your belief....then you have two choices;

Either ignore it, explain it away or reject it. You will be hostle any conclusion that state otherwise.

......or.......

Admit the evidence that intelligence is the cause of the design or information you are finding. This means changing what you believe about evolution as blind random chance over long periods of time.

This puts an atheist who denies the existance of God in a diffcult spot. If there is a wztch...there must be a watch maker.

Just a brief update
Expelled will be coming out on video 10/21/08
Even though it is not a Christian movie I would hope that you all would see it as it does a good job of exposing the hypocrisy and hostility of those dogmatically holding the fantasy of Darwinian evolution against the possibility there is (because there is) a Wonderful Intelligent Creator.

I hope you see the movie. It has (not because of Ben Stein but more so Ken Ham and Answers in Genesis) rekindled my interest in and appreciation of the literal 6 days of Creation and the foundational doctrines that God Himself brings into attention in the Book of Genesis and how foundation these Truths are in sharing the gospel to the lost and for believers in having confidence in accuracy of the Word of God and living the Christian life.

Thanks for your very insightful post. I think I am going to give it some prayerful cosideration and God willing it may be something that will help me in witnessing to the lost.
Thank You
Amen and God bless your efforts.

I need to remember that even though they are all
lost, and very willfully so, some WILL be saved by
God's grace, working through our efforts as well
as those of the rest of His people.

By going to that movie with your daughter you are effectively trying
to take some of those precious "rocks" away from them.
Evolutionists I know don't want my God. They want to be left
alone--with THEMSELVES ultimately "in charge".

Yes! And it is interesting I encountered huge hostility from an unsaved individual that I would go see this movie, especially that I would take my teenage daughter with me.

Apparently some anti-God evolutionists are terrified that the lies Darwinism and especially their persecution of those who might expose Darwinism as false would be exposed and that people especially children would be free to think the Truth.
