This last weekend a number of pastors convened for the ordination council of Galen Balinski and Andy Woodard. The ordaining church, Manor Community Church, formally called these men to the ministry and installed them to the pastorate after a year of close examination of their gifts, abilities, character, and doctrine. It is with great joy that we recognize the work that God has done in calling these men and preparing them for the ministry. We can clearly see that it was not man that brought these men to this point, but it was God – though God certainly used many men and women in the spiritual and practical formation of Galen and Andy, and we praise God for each of them. We are filled with joy at the thought of what God intends to do here in the future of the historic Manor Church in the heart of the neighborhood of Chelsea, in Midtown Manhattan.
NYGM and Manor have a partnership through which NYGM is working to rebuild the ministry of the historic church.
