Very Informative Message In this biographical message on the life of James P. Boyce, several interesting facts are shared such as his conversion, the impact Baptist leaders such as Francis Wayland and Richard Fuller had on him, the founding of Southern Seminary and Boyce's theological views. In addition, Justice relates lessons one can learn from the life of Boyce. For example, although Boyce learned many things from Presbyterians such as Charles Hodge, he did not accept their views on baptism or church polity.
Great Sermon! Thank you for applying the word found in
2 Timothy 4:2.
Preach the word in season… except for politics , this is lacking from pulpits today. God will bless you.
Excellent Sermon! I just wish more eyes were opened to God’s truth. There are so many who are penciling in the word ‘church’ into the Old Testament writings, using allegorical interpretations of Scripture to stretch out non biblical meanings into Scripture. What a sad commentary on the Protestant belief system, because they will one stand before God and give into account for their heretical stance on their eschatology.
It is just like you’ve said, bottom line is, it makes many feel important, but one day; “The lofty looks Of man shall be humbled, the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, And the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.”
Isaiah 2:11. Thank God for your ministry.
Great Sermon! EXCELLENT message! Pastor Josh explains very clearly critical race theory and social justice. AND explains the Christian response from the Holy Bible.
Hyper Calvinism: Authoritarian Legalism While Hyper Calvinists are fellow born again believers, they do tend to exhibit authoritarian legalism. This is because their view of predestination denies the common grace view that John Calvin espoused. John Calvin stated that, "Institutes 2.2.14, “The power of human acutenessalso appears in learning these [i.e. the arts] becauseall of us have a certain aptitude. . . . Hence, withgood reason we are compelled to confess that itsbeginning is inborn in human nature. Therefore thisevidence clearly testifies to a universal apprehensionof reason and understanding by nature implanted inmen. Yet so universal is this good that every manought to recognize for himself in it the peculiar grace of God.” We must have a balanced view of predestination so that we do not become legalistic and authoritarian Hyper Calvinists.
Great Sermon! I'm not really sure about what is said in this sermon. I have found a great deal of amazing sermons of Mark Driscolls on youtube and have grown a lot learning from his style of preaching. Driscoll in my opinion does a very good job of interpretation and then tells us how it can be applied. I find most preachers just give us the Word, and never tell us how it can actually be applied or achieved. After watching a Driscoll sermon (Who Do You Think You Are sermon series is my favorite) I have zero questions about anything because he has covered the topic to thoroughly. He may have made mistakes, but scripture tells us "there is no one righteous, no not one." So maybe it might be in the best interests of some to "take the plank out of your own eye, then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brothers eye."
Seriousness of Deconstruction This is a "frightening" reality confronting our children and our grandchildren.
The subtle desensitization through wanting to get along with the world is dangerous.
WARNING! Be alert and on guard for your life and the life of you offspring.
Great Sermon! The truths pointed to in this message are ignored by many who name the name of Christ. Combining a works based salvation, which is Arminianism, with the Christ of the bible negates grace. Yet, Graham is defended and spoken highly of, which is a testimony to the true spiritual condition of many who defend him or who just shrug him off.....deception is rampant. Not standing against error is the reason error increases like a cancer, and that is what we see in this day. Men who refuse to expose error-Titus 1:10-11 King James Version (KJV)
10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.
Whose mouths MUST BE STOPPED, yet many refuse to do that. When you speak out, you are falsely accused and ran out of town! Man centered messages are very popular, which explains Graham's popularity.
Great Sermon! I really enjoy your sermons and am sad you have retired, I still listen to them, on a constructive level though. I looked up your reference in the douh reimsbible and in fact the second commandment IS there, so I just wanted you to know lest you got your info from an unreliable source, bless you and thank you for all your teaching,
