Wise Sermon Thank you for this sermon Jesse. Only God knows why circumstances happen in our life. It is foolish for us to attempt producing the best circumstances by doing the right things. All things must be done in full trust that the outcome is controlled by the Lord and we need not worry over the why of what happens.
Wonderful Sermon! This was a beautiful reminder to be content and enjoy what God has given and continues to give. So glad the gospel not only permits but also gives the ability to enjoy the gifts of God.
Delightful! What a delightful, refreshing message! Very different from what we often hear. The first one in the series was very good also. Looking forward to the ones to follow. Thank you for encouraging us to be filled with wonder and gratitude at all the excess of beauty and provisions God gives us.
Amazing Sermon! Excellent example of Christ-centered preaching. Starts out presenting the facts and then leads to a wonderful reminder of God's love in Christ. God's judgment did not move Naomi to repent and return to the promised land but His kindness did - verse 6. She heard the good news and returned/repented.
Great Sermon! Brilliant exposition of a truly horrifying chapter. So much was brought out in this sermon. I was especially struck by the part about Jesus being the loving husband who goes outside the door Himself and is abused and murdered by wicked men in order to save His wife, the Church.
Very encouraging Tremendously encouraging. I come from an unbelieving family that greatly values strength and self-reliance. But I myself am weak in every way: physically, socially, financially etc. Thus I feel very humiliated whenever I go home to visit them. But this sermon tells me the true situation - that God's power is sufficient for me in all things. May His word and His Spirit help me to remember this life-giving truth.
Great Sermon! I am a member of a good opc chuch, but routinely listen to Jesse's sermons midweek, and also play them for my wife in the nursing home. Thank you, Jesse, and thank you to the elders of this congregation.
Fresh look at the coming of Christ! Jonathan has a great talent for taking passages of scripture that many of us have read / heard for years and breathing new life and application to them.
