Helpful history and truth! This sermon really helped me understand the passage and showed the speakers strengths in history and scripture. The connections to Christ as the banner and scripture reference support are uplifting and God-glorifying.
Will be listening again! This sermon is a great mix of interesting history, deep theology and timely application. I appreciate your faithful preaching, Pastor Olivetti!
Great Sermon! I agree romans 7 is not experiential to a new Christian ( certainly not my testimony ). The older oj Christ I get the more frustrated I get by my indwelling sin. This was indeed very comforting.
important Sermon! Very needed and important refutation of the naive and popular statement that is here exploded and refuted many. A pastor of a sovereign grace baptist church told me "we are not a confessional church", as if that was better. Yet they have a short statement of beliefs in print! This message shows why such statements are untruthful and an irrational position that only opens the door for a multitude of errors and heresies, that have flooded modern churches.
Great Sermon! Outstanding sermon. I agree with pastor Beeke and the majority of commentators that Romans 7 is in fact the description of a mature believer. Pastor Beeke mentions Martyn Lloyd Jones and his view of the individual being not a mature believer but describes someone under the initial conviction of the law and a new believer. However I have listened to Jones's sermons and he definitely changed his view.
