Comfort When Facing Death Comfort in Death John 14:1-3
1 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
1)MEDICINE – A precious remedy for a troubled heart.
2)COMFORT - a comforting account of heaven. Reflection: I am encouraged with what it is, what it is not, AND what is unknown!
3)HOPE – A solid ground for expecting good.a)Reflection 2: WHAT THE WORLD HAS TAUGHT ME ABOUT DEATH. i)Death is a MAGNIFYING GLASS.
4)APPLICATION
a)Their belief was not to change the situation, but to bring comfort to it.
b)Charge yourself to remember that you have a radically different view of death.
c)Set yourself to greater belief and greater love of the Lord Jesus.
