Powerful Teaching!!! The points made in this teaching I have experienced in churches I’ve worked with, but I really didn’t understand the deep spiritual consequences until I heard this message and sorrow filled my heart. SMH….
Great sermon! I am just starting on this series of revival and what a great sermon to introduce revival. Sadly there seems the two extremes, either coldness or hyper emotional. Maybe many reformed churches shy away because of the charismatic over the top stuff we see today. However that's no excuse for the quenching of the spirit as MLJ has so very clearly taught us here
Great Sermon! Such a critically important message for the church. Seemingly the churches are even afraid of zeal. Zeal for the Lord and His commands. !!! The reformed churches I have been part of act like they hate zeal and don’t want any part of evangelism. Even or especially RC Sprouls church here. Reformed. Frozen. People who don’t seem to “get it”. Nor want to.
Great Sermon! This series of sermons on revival are reminiscent of the bold, passionate and powerful preaching of Farel, Tyndale, and Whitfield! The late doctor is not merely the great teacher and commentator I always knew him to be: through these sermons, I have discovered another facet of the great man's character. He is eloquent, full of light and fire! This sermon, and the one on the sovereignty of God in revival particularly affected me. His mode of concisely explaining the scriptures in the course of his message without interrupting the flow of his argument is rare; but essential to powerful preaching. Don't miss this!
