Great Sermon! According to Jesus (Matt 5:32) the wife who is innocent of fornication, commits adultery if she remarries and whoever marries her commits adultery. But if she is guilty of fornication she is free to remarry and whoever marries her does not commit adultery. This only makes sense if fornication means fornication:sexual immorality by person who does not have a living ex-spouse.
In Deuteronomy 24:1-4 the second husband hates the wife and puts her out, did Moses made that a law? Also Deuteronomy 22:15-17 can be used to allow polygamy?
We can't pick and choose case law to suit us.
15If a man have two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated: 16Then it shall be, when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn: 17But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his.
God is regulating hardness of heart among pagan Israel in these texts. Remember not all that is Israel is Israel.

Great Sermon! Pastor Jim I just wanted to say how blessed and encouraged I am by this sermon. I moved to an orphanage in Peru with my wife and two (and a half) kids about 4 months ago. I want to have a deeper prayer life with the Father and to serve without grudging inside. You have inspired me and God has convicted to. Bless you and may God continue to speak through you. And by the way don't ever stop preacher the gospel, there will Always be someone who needs to hear it, and even to a true believer it is still a good reminder of what Christ did for us and why we are going to heaven. May God bless you.
Great Sermon! I was so touched by this sermon. I pray you post the follow-up for the Wife. I appreciated your candor and sense of humor! Thank for the delivery of this message.
