Great Sermon! The blood of Christ is also a figure of faith, a feminine noun.... a possession. We do not “put our faith in Christ” as so many seem to believe. He puts His faith in us by means of the HS (feminine gender) to enable (1Tim 1:14, Gal2:20) us to believe to the saving of our souls. Faith is not the human ability to reason and make informed decisions. Faith enables the possessor thereof to love God (Deut 6:5) which is the righteousness of the Zion covenant. Indeed, faith is righteousness because it is the blood of Christ.
True faith John2:23~25;5:39~40;6:53~58,6:63;17:3; Galatians 5:6;24; Isaiah53:11; 66:2,5; Mathew7:21
Those who have true faith treat God as God, treat the Lord as Lord. So they worship, rely on, obey him.
Very well said This sermon is very helpful on several levels. Thank you, my family and I will be reviewing Romans 12:1-2 very soon and the Greek terms and contextual "by the mercies of God" are the how we are to come out from amongst them". Blessings in Christ
Great teaching! Thankful to God for this precious sermon. I am blessed indeed to hear this pastor and what God has spoken through him in this. May the Lord richly bless this ministry and this congregation and those who continue in trusting Christ wholly.
What a glorious message! What a glorious message! G.I. preached this message when he was 90 years old, at the end of 2015. His logic and vocabulary are so clear, and his text and theme couldn’t be more pertinent to our suffering culture! I enjoyed this immensely. So should you.
Great Sermon! Very timely and compelling sermon. God is our only Hope In Christ ! Let us all truly believe His Word that we stand firm against the darkness of this age and pray that He raises up more mighty men of valor to speak and obey His Gospel!
In Christ’s beautiful Name
Amen
Great Sermon! This sermon was spot on! We have been listening to your sermons each Lord’s Day. Thank you for putting them on SermonAudio. We also have used your study guides with great benefit. It is rare to find truly reformed preaching in our local churches.
Before we retired, we ran a Christian School for twenty-six years where we sang The Psalms exclusively and the students memorized the Westminster Shorter Catechism at the rate of one question and answer per week together with a verse of Scripture. Then they were required to recite them to their parents. When interested parents asked for information about our beliefs, we made your book The Westminster Confession of Faith For Study Classes available to them.
We will continue to pray that the Lord will bring a great awakening to these United States and particularly to the “reformed” churches which seemed to have wandered from “the narrow way” in some areas
