Great Sermon! Very interesting but a little over my head, for I have not explored alternate creation by man himself, not that I even begin to consider it ...He is I AM......
Painstaking Sermon It becomes quite often painsticking to dismantle some of the myths neo-evangelicals create, defend, and adamantly disseminate, as this one treated here: the supposed 'obsolete' place of the law in the Christian's life. This sermon brings Scriptural food for thought for the earnest truth-seeking soul.
Remedy for my weary soul "Troubles almost 'whelm the soul;
Griefs like billows o'er me roll;
Tempters seek to lure astray;
Storms obscure the light of day:
But in Christ I can be bold,
I've an anchor that shall hold."
Thank you Pastor Chamberlin may God bless you & keep you.
Janine thank you for sharing.
Baptism and forgiveness of sins Great lesson. I would say that far more harm has been done to the doctrine of grace through the misuse of the "sinner's prayer" which can not be quoted anywhere in scripture than the understanding that application of scripture involving repentance and baptism with an understanding that the unworthy sinner confesses his/her total dependence on Jesus by repenting of their sins and dying to self - clothing themselves with the Christ. Clearly, the sinners prayer and the act of baptism can be falsely understood.
