Challenging Sermon! Now that you're saved, what's next? Too many times we take our salvation and not do anything more throughout life. We become lazy and not read the Holy Scriptures daily -- not actually study the Holy Scriptures -- not go beyond what we hear in church -- we do not grow beyond being a child in the Lord. The Holy Spirit has much to show us and lead us to maturity, but we think that's more work than we want to do in our spare time. I am fortunate that I can spend 2-3 hours daily studying the great preachers/teachers on this site, and I get more blessed the more time I give to doing that. I thank God that we have this site to help us grow as Christians. Thank you Brother Alan, for giving us a challenging sermon.
Perspective. Thank you for putting opposition into proper perspective. Such confusion outside of Christ. Such confusion inside our Flesh. Take every thought captive ... Fight for every word, thought, imagination, fantasy, memory, etc etc and bring it obedient to Christ.
Encouraging I was encouraged because I fight the sin of fear and anxiety; and though it never goes away forever, I fight it whenever it surfaces. Instead of being defeated by the resurfacing of this issue, I am encouraged to know that battling it is pleasing to God, and that I will be free of it one day
Great Sermon! Grievous statistics and outlook for our nation. Truth: our nation has no right to ask for mercy without national repentance. Thank you tho so grievous that necessary to have to have this preached.
Great Sermon! May I live my life simply doing the next thing for His glory. May I always walk in contentment with Him by my side and desiring to please Him in every thought, look, and action. Thank you for the reminder that His revealed will for me as a mother - to love my husband, love my children, and manage my home while also showing hospitality - this is supremely pleasing to my Savior. To know Him and to love Him is to walk with Him as I serve Him in this way - What more could my soul possibly crave? May the Lord cleanse me from all worldly ideas of where joy and significance are found. All praise be to His name.
