“ Thank You! ”
Thank you for sticking to the King James Bible and preaching from it so much! We love hearing scriptural reference to back up what you teach, and always making sure to uphold and lift up the words written there, and never accusing the Bible of being mis-translated. Thank you! It means so much to us! Thank you!

“ Great Sermon! ”
Aside from humanistic philosophy in superhero media, there are reports of the writers of these superhero comics like Alan Moore being involved in occult activity. We know that the Bible condemns involvement in any occult activity in Deuteronomy 18:10-12. Not to mention that many superheroes and supervillains like Dr. Strange, Scarlet Witch, Circe, and Amora the Enchantress are practitioners of sorcery.

“ Pearls of wisdom! ”
Pro sports, including the Olympics, only encourages its athletes to purse prestige as opposed to wisdom. Here is a quote from the pearls of wisdom from Protestant Reformer John Calvin. If we are proud of our talents, we betray our lack of gratitude to The Lord. - John Calvin We know that the Olympics and pro sports incites it athletes to be "proud" of their talents, causing them to betray their lack of gratitude to the Lord.

“ Very practical! ”
The battles that these so-called superheroes fight against supervillains and politicians is only a superficial battle of humanism vs. humanism, both secular humanism and religious humanism as are all major historical wars like World War I and World War II. It is not the battle that we are assigned to fight, which is spiritual warfare in Ephesians 6:10-20. We who live the Christian Life like in John Bunyan's The Pilgrim's Progress realize that trials in life are a spiritual battle against the powers of spiritual darkness. Let us not be sidetracked by imaginary action story narratives like G.I. Joe and superhero comics which only focus on superficial battles and wars between humanistic institutions.

Sermon:
The Trinity
Robert W. Reed

“ Thank you for increasing our understanding ”
Thank you for increasing our knowledge and understanding of the Godhead and Trinity in multiple scriptures beginning with Genesis 1. I often wondered why for each day of creation, there seemed to be a repetitious text. (Examples: “And God said,” followed by “And God made” verses 14 & 16. And another example, “And God said,“ followed by “And God created” verses 20 & 21) Why not just, “And God created”? It seems to me that the Father commanded, (“And God said,”) and the Son created (“And God created”). These references answered my question: Psalm 148:5 “Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.” Then, John 8:29 Jesus reveals this about himself and the Father, “….for I do always those things that please him.” Add this to John 1:1-3 and other scriptures which you have quoted, and the obvious declaration of the Spirit of God in Genesis 1:2, and there is the proof of the Godhead or Trinity right off the bat. KJV references.

Superheroes and supervillains both share one thing in common. They both are characterized by a sinful heart. Both are just two different sides of the same coin.

“ Practical insight. ”
The speaker also mentioned that superheroes tend to promote violence as documented by a professional psychologist. It is because superheroes are known for their obsessive guardian mentality. Even if superheroes restored order to the world, they would still create more problems in society than correct them. The other issue is that allowing superheroes to be guardians of society would cause them to use their power for corrupt purposes, even in the name of "rescuing society" and "restoring order." No amount of humanistic reconstruction of society, even by sinful superheroes, can change the sinful heart of humanity. This verse from the Bible reveals the real human heart, a sinful one. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9). The Only Sinless Hero is the Lord Jesus Christ, the True Saviour.

“ Practical wisdom! ”
Today, pro sports and its athletic stars are known for their excessive respectability in the public eye, but pro sports is nothing but a pigpen of filth. This is one of the reason why pro athletes are generally spoiled. Not to mention that they are way overpaid in terms of their salary. Also, pro athletes are given excessive adulation in society in spite of the fact that pro athletes frequently engage in all kinds of lasciviousness, including the very act of fornication. With regards to pro sports, we should heed the warnings of the Apostle John in 1 John 2:15-17. Of course, pro sports will one day cease to exist from all of society.

The Olympics

“ Something that needs to be heard. ”
Even though society puts Olympic athletes on the spotlight of stardom, the reality is that these Olympic athletes are really spoiled rotten. In fact, many of these Olympic athletes are overt fornicators and adulterers. Should the Olympics even be put on the pedestal given that it is given over to many vices, not just fornication, but greed as well? We must also realize that the Apostle John in 1 John 2:15-17 warns us about relishing the empty vanities of the world. The empty vanities of the world do indeed reflect the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Finally, those empty vanities will disappear and cease to exist. No matter how many prestigious accolades are acquired by people, those things will never last for eternity and will all be gone.

“ Great Sermon! ”
The world of superheroes is one where there is no peace, just perpetual warfare all the time. It's ironic how today's professing Christians idealize the superheroes in spite of the humanistic philosophy entrenched in the entire superhero genre.

“ Loved this teaching! ”
Two of my favorites on Jesus'deity: First,in the context of the Father speaking, "But unto the Son he saith, THY THRONE, O GOD, IS FOR EVER AND EVER: A SCEPTRE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS THE SCEPTRE OF THY KINGDOM." (Heb 1:8 KJV). The other scripture - "And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life."(1 John 5:20 KJV)
