Musical Instruments in Worship

“ Great Sermon! ”
Thank you for this excellent sermon! It may be a point of interest that as a homeschool field trip, we once went with a Jewish acquaintance to a synagogue service, and they sang the psalms without musical instruments. It was a sad and very instructive experience because one could very much feel that their house was, in deed, left unto them desolate. We had no sense at all that the Spirit of God was among them; very different than in Christian assemblies, although some of them seemed fervent in their devotion. How we should pray for the in-gathering of the Jews!

Meeting Man's Primary Purpose
Robert McCurley

“ Amyraldianism ”
The Lord hath made all things for himself even the wicked for the day of trouble. Chief end of man to glorify God and enjoy Him forever is the highest end or purpose of man that is enjoyed by the elect alone. Ie. The vessels of mercy. Even the wrath of man shall amount to the praise of God in His just condemnation of the wicked who are without the perfect righteousness of Christ.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Thank you so much for this series on the establishment principle. It was so helpful! Coming from a non-denom Baptist Church and now at an OPC church, no one teaches this but it’s so obvious when it’s actually taught!

A Holy God and Holy Days

“ Excellent Sermon! ”
Does Christ want to be put "back into Christmas?" No! He does not! In this sermon Pastor McCurley sets forth the biblical reasons for not observing the man-made holy day, Christmas. Sadly, many Protestants have not been taught the truth about the worship which God requires, and that which He rejects. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." Hosea 4:6 Listen to this sermon to learn the truth about how God views man-made holy days, and the moral obligation to keep the sabbath day holy.

In this sermon Pastor Beers demonstrates the proper relationship between the three biblical teachings of separation of church and state, the national establishment of Christianity, and liberty of conscience. Be prepared to be challenged in your thinking, and to lay worldly notions aside!

“ Great Sermon! ”
This sermon provides a clear, concise summary of the four main views of church/state relations, as well as an excellent preliminary presentation and defense of the biblical establishment principle, which alone gives due honor and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ!
