Great Sermon! I have always been fearful of addressing spiritual warfare. This is a real eye opener and I know that coming to grips with this will help me appreciate even more what God has done for me and the brethren. He has defeated sin and greater is he that is within me....Thanks
Great Sermon! Good sermon. However, we need to make the fathers of these aborted humans accountable. Often, the woman lives in guilt, while the man shows no relationship to this atrocity. This is because we are allowing them to go free from responsibility of sin.
Sobering Message! An outstanding message that made a compelling, incontrovertible argument against Christians drinking that also dealt fairly with the Scriptures. Too many have made themselves look foolish by saying the "wine" of the Bible was grape juice. Dr. Mazak's breadth of knowledge--history, theology, and the ways of our fallen world--lend his message an authority few other fundamentalist preachers can claim. This would be a good sermon to share with young Christians, especially emergents and the "young, restless, reformed" neo-Calvinists for whom drinking is overtly embraced as "Christian liberty." Dr. Mazak's proving the alcohol consumed in the Bible was closer to "near-beer" than to the potent brews and distilled spirits of today would "harsh the buzz" of many a tattooed hipster "Christ-follower" hoisting a pint at his local Theology on Tap event.
Great Series! A well thought out and faithfully taught rendering of the Book of Proverbs. Dr. Mazak faithfully administers the Word of God in this series. I've listened to all the messages a few times and they never get old.
Great Reminder Great reminder that the American Holocaust is happening under our noses every day of the week. As a nation we have become apathetic to this. Christians should never be ashamed of taking a stand for the sacredness of human life. We are God's created beings even in the womb. Thank you Pastor Greg!
Excellent Reminder Pastor Greg, Thank you for this excellent reminder of what a privilege it is to be chosen. We too often take our Christianity for granted and miss out on the attitude of praise we should have. I liked how you tied it together with the responsibility that comes with bing afforded the privilege of salvation. The Vanderbilt example was a good illustration. I always get so much from your teaching.
Great Sermon! I had not realised that there was a difference between forgiving the repentant and forgiving the unrepentant. I learned a lot from this teaching- thank you.
Great Sermon! It was a blessing to worship with Trimity Bible Church Pastor Greg. Great exposition on Mark 8 14-26. Sometimes it takes a second touch. Grace to you and peace.
Food for thought God said: Ezekiel 18:25 “Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way EQUAL? are not your ways UNEQUAL ?”Jesus said “All things ye would that(humankind) would do to you, do ye even so to them.” Romans 12:10 “Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love IN HONOUR PREFERRING ONE ANOTHER;” “Submit yourselves one to another in the fear of God.” “The head of the woman is the man and the head of the man is Christ and the head of Christ is God.”…well Christ “did not think it robbery to be equal with God”, who is His head and therefore headship does not denote a hierarchy or inequality, else we would do despite to the Trinity. “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.” Philippians 2:3
Jesus, Eph 2:14-15, "...abolished in his flesh...enmity…” and therefore: “In Christ there is neither male not female” or as Matthew Henry says, on Eph 2:14-15 “Jesus Christ is our peace, v. 14. He...came to reconcile, 1. Jews and Gentiles (male and female, bond and free) to each other. “God is no respecter (discriminator, prejudicial, intolerant, partisan, chauvinistic, bigoted, partial, unjust or biased) of persons” James 2:9 says we sin if we respect persons (discriminate). Yet we are taught this is God's will.
Christ-centered sermon! Dr. Mazak has with Christ-like grace, kindness and compassion, expressed the message of the gospel for those in need. "God’s Word is the only authority! Jesus Christ is the only Savior! The Gospel is the only answer!" I typed out a transcript and sermon summary and made it available here: http://paulgarnes.com/plodder/2013/07/19/homosexuality-and-the-gospel-10-theses-dr-greg-mazak/
