Interesting Sermon This sermon's title caught my eye & sounded interesting. I wasn't sure what to expect so I kept an open mind.
I had to listen to this sermon twice (back to back) in order to see the FIVE blessings listed. Just listening you don't catch it specifically because Pastor Nibert isn't literally numbering them. He is basically reading through the verses and mentioning them. So you have to be paying distinct attention to what he is saying in order to catch them.
The format of the sermon could have been structured a little more efficiently in order to showcase those FIVE blessings. But, the sermon still yielded necessary information.
The Five Blessings are 1-Sins Forgiven, 2-Knowing the Trinity, 3- Overcoming adversity, 4- Spiritual Strength, 5- The Word Abiding in you.
Included in verses 12-14 is "Knowing God", which Pastor Nibert points out as being mentioned 3 different times.
Scripture references - 1 John 2:12-14/1 John 4:4/1 John 5:4; John 10; Ephesians 4:32; 2 Corinthians 2:14; Psalm 106; Isaiah 43:22-25; Revelation 12:10
Excellent Christ is all our justification.
Christ is all our sanctification.
Amen!
No joint cooperation.
Salvation is of the Lord.
All Glory to God.
A MUST sermon to be heard. I have said in the past, that the true gospel is never preached on the TV or the radio.
After hearing today's message, I stand corrected.
May the Lord Jesus Christ bless and preserve you and your ministry.

The Works of God Pastor Nibert starts out talking about speaking in tongues. He describes what it is in this day and time, how to do it, what it was in scripture & the difference between the two.
He then moves on about 20 mins into the sermon & starts talking about the types of works of God. There are 3 - Creation, Providence & Salvation. He then moves into the wonderful works of God, which fall under each of the above 3 categories.
At the end of the sermon, he comes back to the topic of speaking in tongues & reiterates what he said in the beginning.
Pastor Nibert provides some interesting insights into scripture. It doesn't go where you think it will & it doesn't end up where you think it will. Very much worth the journey.

Duplicate Sermon This sermon (video) is an exact duplicate of the one listed for 01-21-18 under Acts 4:27-28.
I took the time to do a side by side comparison of the videos and they are exactly the same.
Incomplete Sermon I really, really wanted to hear this sermon or Sunday School class. I am interested in this particular passage of scripture right now and wanted to hear what Pastor Nibert had to say on it.
Unfortunately, I won't have that opportunity. I would think the staff would be more careful about upping incomplete pieces like this where things cut off in the middle of a word or sentence. That doesn't help anyone who is studying scripture.
I would hope that maybe in the future there will be a complete copy made available.
The Old Man Shall Serve the Young Man It's a wonderful thing when the Lord chooses to open your eyes & ears to His Truth. I can never get over the amazement when that happens.
The Lord chose to use this sermon to do just that with me. Giving me a crystal clear picture of the two natures in Genesis with Rebekah, when she was pregnant with the twins. I had never seen the connection before. Now, I see clearly that it is a perfect example for us, so that we can understand.
Pastor Nibert traveled through the bible with this sermon. He pointed out many places where this is perfectly clear for those who are allowed to see it. I am so glad that I was.
This sermon is definitely a keeper.

The True Spiritual Seed of Abraham This sermon starts out in mid sentence at the 0:23 sec mark.
I am always looking to get closer to God by understanding His word more clearly. Pastor Nibert gave extensive information in this sermon on just who true believers really are.
Pastor Nibert states several facts in the first part of this sermon. Some of them are: 1-The chosen of God are the true spiritual seed (sons) of Abraham. 2- God's promise is unilateral. 3- Salvation by God's promise & salvation by grace are precisely the same thing.
Pastor Nibert goes on to list 7 promises of God to His people. They are 1-Jusitification, 2-Sonship, 3-Holiness, 4-Preservation, 5-All Physical Needs, 6-Victory In Death, 7-Eternity beholding His glory.
Two things Pastor Nibert mentioned during the sermon that are worth remembering are 1 - The seed of Israel is EVERY BELIEVER. 2 - The sting of death is SIN & the strength of sin is the LAW.

Are YOU A Roman's 7 Sinner? Are You? Another thought provoking sermon from Pastor Nibert. He takes this passage of scripture & walks through it verse by verse, giving explanation & asking questions on each verse.
The sermon speaks for itself basically, but for those who are in question as to where they stand spiritually? This sermon will clearly define it for you. You won't be in question after listening to this sermon. You may be surprised by what you learn. I know I was. I had listened to this sermon a year or so ago & thought it pretty good. Now, that I have grown spiritually, I came back & listened again & was impressed at what I gleaned from it this time around. It was almost as if I hadn't heard it before.
Do yourself a favor, listen to this sermon & see what you think.

God's Righteous Hatred Most people don't or can't understand how God can have RIGHTEOUS HATRED. They just simply can't get their heads around that concept. That doesn't change the fact though that God hates righteously and man does not. Man wants revenge. God wants & gets JUSTICE.
That's what this sermon is all about. The book of Obadiah is the shortest book in the OT and deals with Jacob & Esau & God's feelings towards them.
The name Obadiah means "Servant of the Lord" and there are 13 different Obadiah's in the OT.
Esau is described as being PROFANE. That means "accessible". If you can be bought, you are profane (basically). These are the things that Pastor Nibert describes, explains and expounds upon in this sermon.
If you are struggling with God's hatred, then this sermon is just what you need to help you understand WHY.
Scripture references are - Obadiah; Malachi 1:1; Hebrews 12:15; Romans 8:1, 28/11:26
Do You Count Predestination A Spiritual Blessing? This has to be one of the best sermons that I have heard on the subject of Predestination. Only Henry Mahan has preached anything as wonderful.
Some of the things that Pastor Nibert mentioned in this sermon were: Predestination is God being God. Predestination has to do with the love of God. Take away Predestination & you take away the love of God. Predestination always has to do with salvation.
For anyone who wants a more clear understanding of this subject should listen to this sermon. Anyone who enjoys hearing about this subject should listen as well. Very spiritually uplifting and informative.
Scripture references are - Ephesians 1:3-6/1:11/2:4; Romans 8:29-30/9:11; Acts 4:23; Psalm 5:5; Isaiah 46:9; Revelation 13:8; 1 Corinthians 1:23-24/2:6-7/4:7; 1 John 4:17
Incomplete File This particular sermon shows to be 16:25 long, but is only 16 mins 09 secs long. It seems to begin after the beginning of the sermon and it cuts off in the middle of a sentence.
What's In A Name? I am still working my way through sermons regarding Jacob & Joseph. I have always been fascinated with the wrestling match that took place between Christ & Jacob.
Pastor Nibert does an exquisite job of describing this scenario. Quite a bit of detail to it, which causes one to stop & think for a few moments on just what it is they are actually reading.
What I didn't know but learned, was that in scripture, any time that someone has a name change (with only one exception) they never are referred to by their old names again. The exception is JACOB. He is repeatedly referred to as both Jacob and Israel. The reason why? Because of what both names stand for or represent.
Israel represents the new life given us - the spiritual and Jacob represents the old man, the fleshly, sinful part of us. FASCINATING! I had never realized that before.
This sermon is definitely a keeper and is worth listening to over & over again.
Scripture references are - Genesis 25:21/30:41/32:3-9,24-31; Psalm 146:5/25:11; Ephesians 1:3
Incomplete File This is supposed to be a full sermon and it is listed as being only 1 min 31 secs long and it is not even quite that long.
What you can hear of this sermon is clearly that it is a regular church service sermon and it is abruptly cut off.
Hopefully the church has a full copy of this sermon and can upload it to SermonAudio so that those of us who are interested in hearing this sermon, can.
Finding Christ In the Old Testament I followed the Clothing of Joseph sermon up with this one and I wasn't disappointed.
Pastor Nibert expanded on his comparison between Joseph & Christ in this sermon by focusing on Joseph's willingness to do as his father requests of him where his brothers are concerned.
Pastor Nibert also goes into more detail regarding the hatred of his brothers for him & what they did & why.
I can't get over the obviousness of the similarities here between Joseph & Christ. My eyes have been closed to this all this time & it was right there in front of me.
One thing that Pastor Nibert did point out was what Jacob did where his own brother and father were concerned & that was the exact same thing that Joseph's brothers did to him & Jacob. What you sow, you reap. There are consequences for what we do. Very, very interesting.
These sermons regarding Joseph have caused me to take a much different look at scripture now. I feel my eyes are being opened much wider.
I thank God in Christ Jesus that the Father has chosen Pastor Nibert to impart this understanding to me.
Scripture references are - Genesis 37:12-36/45:1/50:19; Romans 8:6; 2 Corinthians 8:9; Luke 13:34/19:41; John 10:15/15:22
Joseph, A Type of Christ It was in the sermon "The Death of Jacob" that I heard Pastor Nibert first mention that Joseph was a type of Christ. I was surprised by this when he mentioned it & I wanted to learn more. In this sermon, Pastor Nibert goes into more detail as he will over the next several sermons on Joseph. I was amazed that I had never noticed the things that he mentioned regarding the comparison between Joseph & Christ.
Several things that he mentions are the comparison of Joseph's coat & what Christ wore through His ministry. The love of his father compared to the love of God for Christ. The lack of sin of Joseph. The suffering & mistreatment Joseph endured. Being sold as a slave for 20 pieces of silver (Christ for 30 pieces). His love for his brethren in spite of mistreatment and hatred. Doing his father's will. He also mentions the rise to power of Joseph & the forgiveness of his brethren.
This is very interesting & goes a long, long way into helping me understand scripture better; which is my constant prayer and the Lord is using Pastor Nibert magnificently in bringing this about.
