Truth to be heeded. So much to take comfort in and so much to take to heart in this sermon. Christ is our beloved bride and the church our beloved family. We should encourage one another in Christ and be there for each other.
Great Sermon! Thoughts on Aliyah’s comment - have you considered that perhaps it’s an indication from God that you have to search deeper? Just because it doesn’t speak to you doesn’t mean the speaker “was not up to the task.” It is like people who go to church and criticize that the there’s nothing in it for them. What they want is self centered, all centering upon one’s own expectations...and if expectations are not met, than whatever it is is deemed as not good. Here lies a very obvious reason you have to seek Christ deeper into your heart.
Not every Jew is saved! All true Mrs. Williams. Only a remnant will be saved. This has always been true from the beginning. Ishmael was the earthly son of the first Jew Abraham and Esau the son of Jacob but neither Ishmael or Esau were Jews. God is not a respecter of persons but He is a respecter of His covenants as noted in God's repeatedly saying in Ezekiel that He will do what He will do for Israel not because of Israel but for His own name's sake. Because of His covenant with them that He made. God put Abraham to sleep when He made His covenant with Him. It all depends on God not Abraham. Just as is the case for all sinner's, Israel did everything wrong and God did everything right. Israel can't save itself and neither can we. With man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible.
Great Sermon! It is written that a REMNANT shall be saved and this by the GRACE OF GOD. Israel was an example to show how God saves sinners. God is no respecter of persons. Jesus broke down the middle wall of partition between Jew and Gentile.
Very Interesting Sermon It is sermons like these when Todd is at his very best. I listened to this sermon twice in one day. It was equally as refreshing with the 2nd listening.
What the elect tends to forget is that they are in battle 24/7 while on this earth. There are 2 entities at war inside the elect. The new man and the old man. The old man being the flesh and the new man of course being the spirit.
Todd covers quite a few passages of scripture in order to bring this reality home. Scripture is not elusive on this topic, it is actually talked about and explained quite a bit. Todd goes over this and explains it.
This sermon should be a must have for the elect. Play it often to remind yourself of who you should be looking to AT ALL TIMES. Listen in order to understand. Todd simplifies it and it can be easily understood. This is not rocket science people.
Like I said, this sermon is a MUST HAVE.
