Historical Apologetics: Augustine

“ Great study. ”
Interesting presentation of Augustine's arguments towards the existence of truth and God. Augustine demonstrated to be a semi-rationalist, who combines arguments from logic with arguments from Scripture.

“ Good study. ”
Good study about the problem of authority. Authority is in the Scriptures, not in somethng external, not in the Church, nor in logic of people.

“ Great lessons. ”
A message very rich in information and lessons. The danger of establishing other sources of authority for Christian faith and practice than the Holy Scriptures given by God.

Very good and useful study of the works of the devil influencing Catholicism through this "revelations". It is all about these other revelations, which deny the revelation of God in the Scriptures.

“ TRUTH AT LAST! ”
For the TRUE church - a must listen! The "puzzle" assembled at last! My husband and I have been collecting the "pieces" of this puzzle for over 20 years. Robbins has assembled it.

Ethics: Biblical Answers
John W. Robbins

“ Praise God because His Word is taught! ”
Apart from Dr. Gordon Haddon Clark, Dr. Robbins is the chief exponent of orthodox, or, historic Christian faith in the U.S. (Calvinism), possibly, the world. These two men have exposed voluminous errors from Christ's church during their lives. They have taught The Word of God with grace and precision through the knowledge which God The Holy Spirit has bestowed upon them. Do not miss this talk! Do not miss anything Robbins has been given to teach. Robbins is your start point for orthodoxy in the 20th and 21st century. The work of love is to understand. Understand The Word, love God. Understand Robbins, love his (Robbins) love for God, and receive him as a dear brother in Christ. The greatest Christian teacher of the 21st century is Dr. John Robbins and this can not be disputed. Proceeding him in the 20th century is Dr. Gordon Hadden Clark. Do not dismiss this point and pass over Clark as irrelevant in our modern day. We are not so modern, and Clark is not ancient but even more relevant today than ever before. Read Robbins and do not forget to read Clark! There clearly is no other choice for sound Biblical instruction in our day. I have loved them both. They are dear brothers of mine. I hope you will love them too.

“ Interesting ”
Aside from the present Religious wars, where the speaker rightly uncloaks the Jewish Neoconservatives (whom Pat Buchanan opposes) and Israel (supported by the heresy of dispensationalism and Scofieldism among Christians), who are fomenting wars upon Islamic countries (for Greater Israel, beginning 9/11), a major omission is made: *Democracy* has become the major cause (with its Religion of Humanism), and under the banner "making the world safe for democracy", of ALL the world wars of the 20th century, and construction of the United Nations, up to the present. Bush I and Bush II employed this as much as Wilson and FDR, i.e. Democracy=Freedom as the mantra.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Most Esteemed Sir, What a wonderful description of theology thou givest by the foundations of Biblical theology over the past 500 years and what for some concerns now? We got to learn a lot by theological education and owing to language differences with Indian natives, if ever anyone came here to introduce a change of speech, he might have suffered abuse from natives until English prevailed. And that too, without a grudge toward whoever or whatever rules this land, Ephesians 6:12, almost sure to drive the Anglice out of India as North Koreans drove the Japanese invaders, is now taking cognizance of the faith of Christians. However, wealth with equal distribution is lacking and no one knows how the others go out of the country and what the secret of destroying the natives by foreign visits really is the discovery of colonial practices. I like to thank the Christian teachers for developing compensations in my mind, and not to have missed out what the world offers which sounds so destroying to natives about its wealth and what they do not have : JESUS CHRIST.

“ Denying or modifying doctrines. ”
An excellent presentation of Wright's errors, very useful for evangelicals to discern between what is biblical and what it is not. It shows that almost every great doctrine is denied or modified by Wright. I learned much and I wrote down many notes. Thank you for this lecture!

“ Great Sermon! ”
Rome's bloody persecutions of Bible-believing Christians should never be forgotten. Richard Bennett bring us another important message in this lecture. C.H. Lea's set of four volumes, _A History of the Inquisition of the Middle Ages_ (1887), mentioned and quoted in this message, is available at a discount at http://www.swrb.com/catalog/l.htm. Gavin's _A History of Popery_ (1848) includes "An Account of the Inquisition at Goa and Macerata" and is on Reformation CD #16 at http://www.swrb.com/Puritan/reformation-bookshelf-cds.htm. Richard's MP3 "The Modern History and Tyranny of Roman Catholicism and the Vatican Vision Related To Past and Coming Inquisitions" at http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=71805213049 is a good companion message to this lecture. All Richard's messages on sermonaudio are at http://snipurl.com/1o8f6.

“ VERY Important Lecture ”
Many of us have tried to argue for God's existence by pointing to the creation, thinking of the common understanding of Romans 1:20...which does not mean what most think it means. God is not obvious by the creation; God is obvious by the image he manifests in us. To look to the creation is to go the way of which that passage warns. Dr. Robbins details the many pitfalls of the empiricist postion, particularly the unreliability of the senses. He also exposes the limitations of the empiricist argument for God itself: it doesn't necessarily prove the God of the Bible, and in fact can prove polytheism just as easily. The "watchmaker" argument is examined. The unmistakable conclusion of this approach is that if it is true, then the Bible is false. Which is why this is such an important lecture for all Christians, especially witnessing ones.

“ Great Sermon! ”
John W. Robbins is probably the best theologian in the United States today. He is president of the Trinity Foundation. The work of the Trinity Foundation is much needed in today's world where almost all of Presbyterianism has departed from Justification by Faith Alone. He keeps Gordon H. Clark's works available to the public. Clark was the greatest Calvinist theologian and philosopher in the history of North America.

“ Great Lecture! ”
This argues that the supposed Marian apparitions at Lourdes, Fatima, Guadelupe, & elsewhere are not merely human frauds as I had supposed, but are actually demonic imposters. This reminds me of Gary Bates's contention that many UFO encounters are likewise of demonic character, and for similar reasons.
