Sobering... Thank you, Pastor Dilday, for this sobering message concerning how we should view the calamity which has befallen Japan. We certainly do need to acknowledge God's righteous hand in what has happened, repent of our sins and call our own nation to repentance. Also, we must pray for the Japanese people, and especially for God's elect among them. Finally, we must ask the question, "How then shall we live?"
Timely Reminder! Thank you, Pastor Dilday, for the timely reminder that the reformation of God's people will meet with opposition from both within and without the church. The corrupt practice of marrying strange wives was widespread among God's people in Ezra's day, and it seemed to be almost beyond possibility of reform. But God was gracious to give the people repentance after Ezra had publicly prayed and confessed their sin. How good is our God, and how powerful to work in the hearts of men! The people of God in our time have also failed to "seperate themselves from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations," in that we have corrupted ourselves with the "strange wives" of theatrical entertainments, worldly music and immodest dress. "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God?" May God's ministers today humbly confess the sins of God's people and seek their reformation, knowing that God is able to work great things in the church in all ages. The corruption is as widesread today as it was in the days of Ezra, but be of good courage, and do the work, for God still gives grace to the humble.
Great Sermon! No better explanation of the doctrine in this portion of the confession can be found anywhere! Thanks for such a clear exposition of a difficult doctrine!
Great Sermon! Amen! Thank you for these wonderful messages about true saving faith! (There are some very good comments here from the Book of John....especially John 1:12-13)...
Great Sermon Series!! This series has been such a blessing. I am thankful to know better now how to worship Christ in spirit and in truth. Excellent!
Great Sermon! If you desire to learn more about prayer, then this sermon is the one to listen too! Thank you Pastor Dilday for an excellent sermon on prayer and what it should involve.
Important Teaching On Jesus' Most Famous Sermon A must listen for all Christians. I'm certainly looking forward to the next message in this series.
Praising the Lord Jesus Christ Through His Psalms! An important message for those who love the Lord and desire to obey Him in worship by keeping the second commandment -- for the Lord Jesus Christ said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15). More free online MP3, video, and text resources on Psalm singing at http://www.sermonaudio.com/new_details3.asp?ID=13577.
REAL REFORMATION, REAL WORSHIP! Dr. Dilday paints a vivid and beautiful picture, from Scripture, of real Reformation as it pertains to worship. More free MP3s on worship song are at http://www.sermonaudio.com/go/415 -- enjoy and rejoice in the goodness of God! "Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD" (1 Chronicles 16:9-10).
Antichrist And Removing His Monuments To Idolatry! The crowning sermon of this fine series on little heard Bible truth related to removing Antichrist's holy days, removing the monuments to idolatry of the Papal Antichrist, the duty of the civil magistrate [rulers] in these matters, errors of Dispensationalism, the egalitarian American amendments to the Westminster Confession of Faith, etc. More FREE ONLINE MP3s and TEXT RESOURCES from the best Puritan, Covenanter, Presbyterian, Reformed and Baptist authors and preachers, on the Biblical view of holy days, are at http://www.sermonaudio.com/go/413 and at http://www.swrb.com/newslett/FREEBOOK/holyday.htm.
Romish Or Protestant/Biblical Worship & Holy Days Much needed preaching in our day, when many Protestants worship more like Roman Catholics than like the best Reformers. This sermon contains much important Scriptural and historical information. On this topic George Gillespie writes, "Forasmuch then, as kneeling before the consecrated bread, the sign of the cross, surplice, festival days (Christmas, Easter, etc.-ed.), bishopping, bowing to the altar, administration of the sacraments in private places, etc., are the wares of Rome, the baggage of Babylon, the trinkets of the whore, the badges of Popery, the ensigns of Christ's enemies and the very trophies of Antichrist: we cannot conform, communicate, and symbolize with." Great Sermon! What an edifying sermon, Pastor Dilday! I amazed at how much I learned. I will be sharing it tonight with Jay and the teens. (Will there be a Crying Sins III?)
We pray for you and will continue to do so; such boldness in the pulpit will make you enemies temporal and spiritual, no doubt.
Hearing you preach again has made me miss you and your precious family even more. I am grateful that we can hear you online and still have access to that blessing! I thank you and the PRC and sermonaudio.com for making this possible. You have brought prayers of thanks to our loving Father for His provision and for the blessing that you continue to be to us.
Great Sermon! Thank you for this excellent Bible study! Sometimes there is a "price to pay" in this life to get true Wisdom from God! But whatever we have to "give up" for God, our heavenly Father makes it up to us in His own time, and in His own way.
