Convicting This is the good old fashioned Reformed Baptist preaching that is being marginalized in our day. I don't listen to a lot of sermons on my ROKU but thought this would be a good devotional for this Sunday Morning. In a 10 minute introduction before the text is even opened up I was groaning and praying before God - so well does it expose what Samuel Rutherford called the house-devil of every man. The first time I heard Pastor Dunn was at a men's conference near Adrian Mi. in the early 90s, but have known about him since I attended Trinity in the 80s. But now I find myself going through his sermons again and see what else I may have missed. It was interesting to see the name James Dolezal in the mix of speakers because of his background and association with another very good Reformed Baptist preacher, Rick Anderson and Faith Community Church.
Great Sermon! Thank you for this lesson on Sarai. The parallels with Gen. 3 are sobering. It makes me realize that I should be careful about false piety masking sinful motives. Thank you!
Great Sermon! Convicting and encouraging. How can we stare at ourselves instead of looking at a far more beautiful and worthy object of affection -- Christ and his sacrifice.
Great Reminder! Great reminder to remember and trust what I know to be true about Jesus. His reality is peace, even if my perspective seems stormy. Know Jesus, know peace.
Great Sermon! Thank you for this great sermon. It is certainly not only a message for children. I would love to see more sermons of this type commonly preached. Very important issues!
Humbling. A humbling message! How high are the standards of God! We are called to live in holiness and in love in a corrupt world. We are called to love Christ and to wait eagerly for His return. May God work in us His children all these heavenly qualities!
3 essentials. A call to faithfulness to the Scriptures, to the centrality of preaching in worship and to the centrality of the Church in God's plan. Powerful, biblical message.
Great Sermon! Dear Pastor, Thank you for your sermon. It has touched my heart. I listened to it thru the internet. You'll never know how many people you touch in this life time. God bless you, your family and ministry. In Christ alone, Lia Leigh.
Great Sermon! Dear Pastor, Thank you for your word. I have gleaned something new today for the benefit of my soul. God bless you, your family and ministry, In Christ alone, Lia Leigh.
What is a servant. Profound message with many lessons to learn about being a servant and from Jesus' attitude and action in that event. Great lesson in humility.
