VERY good sermon Clay Reassuring to know there's nothing we have to do nor Can do to secure our salvation. All we have to do is believe.I know if it depended on me and what I have to "do" that I could never live up to the soverein Grace that has been given to me freely. But also paid for with an incomperable price.
Great Sermon! Wonderful and so key. I was drawn to Acts 8:13 - Simon believed, but his heart was in the wrong place (Acts 8:19). Man looks at outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart. (1 Samuel 16:7).
Faith and repentance are two sides of the same coin. Both grow overtime, only by the grace and mercy of God.
Thanks
Excellent message! Thank you brother for such a full message of the gospel. Paul was bold and honest to confess that "after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers,..." It is as true today as it was in Paul's day.
Great Sermon! A joy to listen to this message from New Jersey and to be aware of your faithful witness to the old scriptures. May the Lord abundantly bless you all !
Great Sermon! Amen! Thank you for this wonderful message! For many years I was "going about to establish my own righteousness", and was ignorant of this great truth of the imputed Righteousness of Christ for our eternal justification in the sight of God...(Romans 10:3)...Yes, the Bible is very clear...Isaiah 61:10 ..I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels...Praise God..our eternal Salvation is of the LORD...!
Hard sayings spoken boldly! There are some portions of Scripture that are so strongly ‘Calvinistic’ and offensive to the religious crowds that even strong Reformed preachers shy away from them. Not so Pastor Curtis! In interpreting Galatians 4:6 – ‘And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father’, Brother Curtis plainly says that one does not become a ‘child of God’ when he believes on Him or because of something he did, but because ye are sons God sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts. Beloved this is a true saying and worthy of all acceptation, and it takes real guts to preach this like it is.
A wonderful sermon which establishes the fact that Faith is a gift of God and not something every man possesses. Listen to it and be blessed!
Wonderful Sermon! The Lord used this sermon to help me realize that the way I react to difficult situations is largely out of covetousness and a desire for self-sufficiency instead of being content to trust Jesus to provide for me and protect me regardless of the appearance of external circumstances.
Great Sermon! Thank you for this instructive sermon. I've been reading the Bible for a long time now but certain truths became clearer to me by listening. This was a blessing and I thank you.
