“ Great Sermon! ” My thought on this "painted holiness," is that how does one know for sure that they are sincere in their love for God? I often think about the hypocrisy, that I may have in my heart, and pray that my profession of faith is a sincere one.

“ Awesome Sermon! ” This is one of the most powerful sermons I have heard in the thirty two years I have been in Christ. It is very reminiscent of those I have read by earlier Puritans and of Jonathon Edwards. There is a surgical iteration of the law before the gospel. As John Wesley made clear in his presentation of the gospel it is ninety percent law and ten percent gospel. This puts even the fear of God in the believer and the necessity of proclaiming the gospel to all who would hear it. The gospel is sweet and presented as a marvelous act of love on God's behalf. There is no other name under heaven by which a man may be saved.
