“ Great Sermon! ” I had just gotten a magazine from a major Christian (?) leader that I have followed for years. He says the threat of an Electro Magnetic Pulse weapon is real, stopping among other things, food supplies. The drought in the midwest has dimished our food supply by 30%, etc. Food terrorist could poison a major portion of our food and water supplies. Plus a major West Coast earthquake in California which is an area where a large percentage of our food is grown. We need to stock pile at least three (3) months supply of food and water.
AND THEN I HEARD DR. PEACOCK'S SERMON ON HE IS OUR PEACE. What a relief!! What peace!! To know that GOD IS IN CONTROL. THANK YOU JESUS!!!
And now I'm wondering why anyone would put something like that in print to scare everyone. He could have used the same page to say don't worry, God is in Control.
“ Great Sermon! ” I believe the rapture will fulfill the feast of trumpets. Pentecost Passover and tabernacles have been fulfilled. See 1 Cor 15 vs 52 and 1 thess 4 vs 16 ( these are clear rapture verses which talk about trumpets).
“ Great Sermon! ” I note the comment about the genealogy being difficult to apply- my only story I have about this- as I used to think just the same thing. A Jewish lady was being shown around a church and a bible was open on the pages outlining Jesus genealogy- and she knew her ot- well do you know that she had the revelation there and then that Jesus was the messiah of the Jews just by reading that. I wonder whether the genealogy leaves us Gentiles cold but has a rather different effect upon the Jewish - all scripture is given by inspiration of god- I think that there is more to the book than we shall ever know and some passages are written for Gentiles, some are written to Angels, some for the Jews and some even for the trees and the mountains !!!!
“ Great Sermon! ” I just love the way pastor David combines serious stuff with humor- he's on top form with this one and had me smiling all the way through .
“ Great Sermon! ” Just a quick testimony on this subject- I was in a prayer house in the holy land where there was offered uP 24 hour prayer by uncompromised Christians- that was there job - ministry. It was nothing professional but it was pure worship from a pure heart. The presence of the god of Israel was manifest- profound peace and awe is the best that I can put words to. It was impossible to stand- folk were either led head forward or kneeling. I just couldn't do anything but cry years of love... I'm talking about something very very precious- I have never witnessed that before or since and I believe that until we get back to pure worship there will be no outpouring of the holy spirit in revival - man you are so right we need to get back to worship - its not rocket science.
“ Great Sermon! ” Very good teaching and yep the judgement seat of Christ not something I have had much teaching about. Will take a while to chew this over- thank you . Not sure about the schofield bible - maybe it comes under the category of adding to the word ??? I never really come across that much and don't know anyone that uses it.
“ Great Sermon! ” The sort of message that I wish every young Christian would hear- don't watch the world - its a trap and don't expect the world to like the message ( they shoot the messenger every time ). Good one.
