“ OUR DAILY THORN IS OUR DAILY TEACHER ! ”
In addition to listening to this sermon preached by Pastor Wagner, I highly recommend that people read "The Thorn in the Flesh, or Strength Made Perfect in Weakness" (an excellent sermon preached at North Street Chapel, Stamford, on March 17, 1861 by J. C. Philpot). Sermon link: http://www.gracegems.org/Philpot/thorn_in_the_flesh.htm

“ Great Sermon! ”
I was greatly blessed by this sermon, and also challenged. Intend to listen to all the rest in this series and then use them as a point of reference to continually remind me of what it means to live according to the fruit of the Spirit. This can only be done by staying very close to the Lord.

Sermon:
A Prayer Meeting in Hell
Rev. Reginald Cranston

“ Great Sermon! ”
A case is made for the demons in Luke 8:33 being cast into the lake of fire rather than the Lake of Gennesaret or Sea of Galilee because the word lake used in the verse is the same word used in Rev. 19:20 referring to the lake of fire into which the beast and the false prophet were cast. It is true that the word lake in both cases refers to the greek word (G3041 λίμνη limnē lim'-nay Probably from G3040 (through the idea of the nearness of shore); a pond (large or small): - lake.) In Luke 8:22 I would point out that the same word is used to describe the lake Jesus and the disciples sailed over. So are we to believe Jesus saile over the lake of fire?

“ Great Sermon! ”
Incredible message for those of us, who have experienced great heights, but also faced great depths. A subject timely in my case. I would hope that all would not be afraid to look at this wonderful topic, and realize, God is there--always--on the mountain, but also in the valley.

A good sermon but at times the sound tends to drop to an inaudible level...rather annoying. A shame because it is a good message.

Sermon:
The Insanity of Sin
Rev. Reginald Cranston
1
comment
“ Awesome Sermon! ”
A sobering reminder of just how much mankind is like lemmings, running quickly to sin and death: "Sin is madness of the worst kind. Sin doesn't make any sense at all. Here is the insanity of sin (Luke 15:17). We know that NOTHING good can come from sin. Nothing wholesome can come from sin. Sin will only lead a man from bad to worse. "Leaving a table that was laden with food that led him to the swine troth. Look at sin's destruction. In the prodigal's life, it destroyed his self-respect. It brought division in the prodigal's life-dividing the son from his father and brother. Sin doesn't make sense. "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is the way of death. For the wages of sin is death. "Sin is a tyrant, yet so many wish to be under its control. Here is a young man running into evil--it doesn't make sense. "It makes no sense to play with sin. Many today are looking for that far country, where there's no law, no God, no restriction, no accountability, no Bible. Sin is a sport to a fool. "Sin doesn't bring a man gain, sin brings a man loss. "Though this sermon looks at the insanity of sin, Jesus told this parable to show that Christ is a friend of sinners and He will cleanse them."

The Eternal Security of Believers
Rev. Reginald Cranston

“ Great Sermon! ”
Excellent and comprehensive treatment of the topic of eternal security which is so crucial. I recommend all Christians listen to this, and also keep it on file for people who might have questions on this topic. There are a lot of opinions on this topic, but the only thing that counts is what the Bible says.

Please disregard the second website in Dan's post above. It is refuted by h ttp://www.snopes.com/politics/business/mondex.asp . It is a sad day when a fellow Christian cannot do a search for the truth regarding things of such powerful rumor. But I admit I was at first fooled also. Paz Christos, Wordsmith P

Sermon:
The Babblings & Blasphemies of Benny Hinn
Rev. Reginald Cranston

“ Great Sermon! ”
Great Sermon. I am glad to know that there are places in UK/Ireland where the whole gospel is being preached. Here in the US, our diet has largely been influenced by the Televangelists of whom Benny Hinn is only one among many. These are perilous times, and people are spiritually hungry. However, instead of being guided by the spirit of truth, many would instead prefer to remain in error. Having their ears tickled and their eyes blinded. These teachers are so visible now that here in the USA they have practically become mainstream, I know they've made many inroads into the UK. I just pray that the Lord will continue to raise up the Rev. Cranstons....and that "good British common sense" will prevail. this is a great deception...and it should be exposed.

“ Excellent Sermon and timely reminder ”
and as believers we need to remember 1 John 4:1. "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world". And not forget in the light of that warning in scripture, any teaching which cannot be verified within its Pages should be rejected.

“ Great Sermon! ”
We as a small group of belivers (one fellow with a brain-injury) were able to prepair a tract about the abuses and false prophesies of Benny. What a horror show to see the ENTIRE Saddle Dome (our hockey arena) filled to the brim with people worshipping at the alter of this false prophet! We saw the rows of people with terrible disabilities hoping desperatly that they would be healed...we say these same people being wheeled out in the end as ill as when they came in. The most sad part of this was that aside from our little group of 10 people...there was NO OTHER CHURCH out to try to protest this great evil done in the name of Christ! There are hundreds of churches on Calgary, yet we were the only ones? What a shame and a rebuke to those who know how bad Benny is. May God raise up His chruch to once again be a PROTESTING church...it is our Protestant heritage.
