Very Poignant Sermon. We listened to this sermon and found it very poignant for the times we are now in. May the Lord Bless His Church at this time in history, and Glorify the Name of Christ His Son.
Disappointed What is said is true, though this sermon misses the point of the text, and the pastor seems to prefer speaking in generalities instead of particulars. e.g. “It should not bring us to modern technologies which in our day are fraught with ethical dilemmas." What does he include under 'modern techologies'?
Great Sermon! This is very good especially the last approximately one third that is directed to the believer of the traps and snares a believer can fall into regarding righteousness. Thank you.
Great Sermon! Amen...! Thank you for this wonderful message how Luther defended the true gospel of our justification (by faith alone) in the sight of God..!
Great Sermon! Very good message with many insights from a Biblical and Reformed point-of-view. This nonsense called 'emergent' is a new name for what the serpent told Eve back in the Garden. It is not a Church - because a Church has Christ as it's Head. Matthew 5:19 comes to mind.
Great Sermon! A beautiful and encouraging sermon. Jesus's abundant grace is more than sufficient for us in any thorn or trial we may endure in life. I loved it.
Thanks Thanks for the message. When you began I was tempted to shut my computer off again because I felt that since I am not victorious, the sermon wasn't for me. By God's stubborn grace I listened to the whole thing. True, I don't feel victorius, for I've been fighting an internal battle for months with little release, but it is good for my mind to know the truth, being reminded that it is God who will not let me go, and I hope the feelings will come. May God bless your faithful ministry.
Great Sermon! This sermon makes one feel very close to Jesus, gracious Savior and Master. Such a beautiful focus on the tender heart of Jesus. Thank you!
Great Sermon! Thank you Pastor Bilkes. This being The 1st Sunday after Epiphany , I was looking for an Epiphany Sermon and that section of the website is woefully lacking. Glad I looked in the Advent section and found this message: "Wise Men Seek the King of the Jews". The way you read the Scripture passage tells me that you actually believe it is God's book. Amen! Thanks. I'd suggest that S.A..com puts this sermon in the Epiphany section of "Sermon's by Topic".
Great King. Jesus Christ will be always the Lamb, an eternal reminder that only through His blood we have access into heaven. He will be our eternal Shepard and Ruler.
Suffering. Providence of God and suffering; punishment and suffering; purpose of suffering; prayer and suffering; prospect and suffering. Interesting lessons about suffering.
