Mercifully saved by the Lord in 1984. The doctrine of election is practically unknown in New Zealand. Christians have in the main never heard of it and if they have they simply will not believe it because on the whole it's just not taught. The main excuse is that it makes God unfair. They just don't have any appreciation of original sin and human depravity. Most churches in my country are Arminian to the core. Thank the Lord He rescued me from Catholicism and then from Protestant Arminianism (which is simply another form of Roman Catholicism). However, where I live there are no churches which preach the reformed doctrines of salvation.
