“ Moving Message! ” Once Dr. Beeke gets going, this becomes a very powerful message. It sort of jolted me spiritually alert. I went around thinking about it for the next 3 or 4 days. Praise God for His servant!

“ Great God. ” Another message about God's Providence which blessed my soul. What a great God we have, working in hidden and unexpected way for the good of His people and for the glory of His name!
“ Substitution. ” Great lesson in repentance and substitution. Judah as a substitution for Benjamin is an illustration of Christ's substitution for us. He became our substitution voluntarily in His great love for us.
“ God is everywhere. ” I have no words to tell how blessed I was listening to this message! I found an excellent God in it, a God who is sovereignly leading our lives unto repentance, sanctification, forgiveness, love, reconciliation. True: God is everywhere in our lives, as it is in this chapter in Genesis. I also liked the intertextuality present at every step in the text, how the narrative is reminding us at every step about things which happened before.
“ Great God. ” What an encouragement to know that the providential working of a loving God is leading our lives to repentance, holiness and conformity with Jesus! Great is our wise and powerful God!
“ Great lesson. ” Christ's person and bountiful resources highly exalted in our weaknesses. A very hard lesson to learn; we will go on learning it all our lives.
