Introduction The First Baptist Church of Alto is a local body of believers in Jesus Christ who have been saved from sin’s penalty by the grace of God. The church is made up of redeemed sinners, and we are such a people, with a desire to give glory to God. The very purpose for our being is to glorify God by making and maturing disciples. It is our desire to know our Savior more each day and serve Him faithfully. I am a pastor who thinks that face to face communication is really important so being on a platform such as SermonAudio really was not a part of my thinking or something that was high on my priority list. They tell me they were surfing the web, got on SermonAudio and listened to one of my messages and wanted me to know how it spoke to them. Wow, what a blessing that is! It has also been valuable to me and our people here because I preach expositionally, verse by verse, so it allows people in our own congregation to easily keep in step with my preaching when they have to miss a sermon occasionally.
