Listener - During the sermon I questioned whether Samson had faith in God based on his lifestyle and choices, as revealed in the book of Judges. I focused on the OT account of Samson, but I failed to take into account what the writer of Hebrews states in 11:32,39,40, "And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets—And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised, since God had provided something better for us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect." This passage was brought to our attention during the service by a faithful Berean, and after getting home and studying this further, I would agree that Samson was a believer. I would like to amend the position I took during the message and apologize for the oversight. - Steven Wilson
