As a Christian, we will never be above our Master, the Lord Jesus Christ. The Scriptures teach us in Hebrews 5:7-9, “Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.” Jesus Christ suffered well in the will of God. He remained obedient to God in the midst of pain, grieve, sadness, shame, and bearing the weight of our sin. He took the blame and paid the consequences for something He had not done. He did not run from the conflict. He did not sin in the midst of the conflict. He walked in truth in order to show us the way. So many times, trials, suffering, or some type of difficulty becomes an excuse to become disobedient to God, but this is not the example that Jesus set for us. This morning, the title will be “The Innocent Sufferer” We will consider the following from this passage, 1) The Creator Condemned to Death 2) The Maker Mocked by Mankind 3) The Passover Lamb Led to the Slaughter
