This morning, we are going to Golgotha’s hill to see Jesus. The Jewish leaders hated Jesus without a cause and were determined to have His name snuffed out and His followers disbanded (John 15:25). They saw Jesus as their greatest problem, but Jesus saw sin and death as our greatest problem. The first man Adam had sinned against God and introduced death into the human family. How do we deal with what the first man Adam introduced to the human race? This is a problem that every human being and family will come face to face with. It can be a dark hour, and we will enter one this morning as we gaze upon the cross. We are going to look at suffering of the cross through the eyes of the Lord Jesus Christ who conquered death, crushed the head of the serpent (Devil), and causes His followers to rejoice in the hope of the gospel. The title of the message will be “The Cross of Christ.” We will consider the following: 1) Jesus had a Divine Appointment with Death 2) Jesus Despised the Shame of the Cross 3) Jesus was Determined to Finish His Work
