INTRO: On New Year’s Day of this year I spoke on Ephesians 6:1-10. In this passage Paul says that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. It is of utmost importance for Christians to realize that we are in a spiritual battle! It is amazing to me, how duped we Christians can be about the battle behind the scenes. There is a material world. Most people have no trouble about that except such religions as Christian Science who believe that nothing is real. Christian Science teaches that evil and good are not real. Matter, sin and sickness are not real. They are only illusions. We Christians laugh at such mindlessness, but when it comes to the demonic world we are almost as mindless. Before we go further, I remind you that the Devil hates exposure worse than we do, and we have a strong dislike for it. Pray for protection for yourselves, my family and the church for the next while. When I preached on demonology and against unconditional love and unconditional forgiveness, I think that I did not realize what I set us up for. Satan did a very successful work, through unsuspected and unsuspecting people. I have asked for more time this Sunday and next. After these two messages, I will, Lord willing continue in the messages on the latter parables.
