The Lord Remembers - Message 6 - A House of Thieves. In Zechariah's sixth and seventh visions we find two scenes very closely related. After seeing visions that encourage the people, illustrate atonement, and shine a light on The Light of the World, we find these two visions telling us about the curse and cure of sin. In his sixth vision Zechariah sees a large scroll flying through the air. The scroll represents the curse of the law upon sin and sinners. In the seventh vision then we see wickedness personified by a woman. She is sitting in a large basket with a lead cover on top. Just as sin is discovered and judged, it must be removed from among the people of God. Wickedness must be removed. In this message we see how we have become members of a house of thieves, how our sin will be found out, and how it will be dealt with a removed. We also examine the statement "God hates the sin and loves the sinner" to see if this is what the Bible actually teaches. The Law brings a curse - thankfully we finish by seeing that Christ became a curse for us to remove the curse from us!
