To this point in his prologue John constructed the foundation for the incarnational coming of the Logos, highlighting the dynamics of His relationship with God and the world He created. With that foundation in place, John brought his prologue to its climax with his announcement of the incarnation. The immanent Logos had now, in the fullness of the times, come into the world as the incarnate Logos.

One of the best! The unassumed is the unhealed! Kit does a masterful job (as usual) of explaining the importance of the "flesh" with regard to the incarnation of the Word. We (the church) speak of the "doctrine of the incarnation" without understanding the profound significance of what this really means. If Jesus did not assume our actual humanness, if he was not born in and within the "flesh" of our actual/essential human nature with the same capacity to be acted upon without and affected within in every way as we are, then he has not accomplished anything on our behalf because he has no connection to us. Christ cannot heal a humanity that he has not touched within himself. But by assuming our actual nature he has acted within our humanness to heal us by opposing and conquering sin in the flesh and thereby taking us up into himself to join us to the very life of God in the Spirit! This is a sermon that needs to be absorbed into our minds and hearts.

Great Sermon! Again Kit explains how all the scriptures point to, and have their fulfillment in, Christ! Hear how this oft-recited verse is connected to Genesis, Exodus, the O.T. prophets, the gospels, Paul's writings and Revelation! Oh our Glorious God, illuminated to us by His Glorious Spirit, using His God-breathed Word, explained to us thru vessels of clay gifted to teach and preach. Praise God!

Great Sermon! This is sobering truth; plain and simple, God made it so clear. there is nothing complicated about why the Son of God took on "flesh,"
