This Psalm, was written in David's old age, when he was ever in the midst of foes. He cries to God, in whom he trusts for His help. Such is ever the case for us as Christians. Often, our enemies seek our decline, hoping that we, and our gospel work will just cease and go away. Malignant spiritual powers are behind the opposition to the work of God, which we seek to undertake. But God genuinely is a friend to us. He protects and defends those who are His. Like David, we are able to cry unto him, and He hears our prayers. We may feel small, but we are not forsaken!  Main Headings:  1: The enemies again 2: God is a friend to us
