What matters is NOT how you see yourself to be, but how God DECLARES you to be. But Ignorance doesn't value that highly either. It doesn't really worry him whether he is in a right relationship with God or not, because everything will be fine in the end regardless of where he stands. He has lulled himself into blissful self-deception about the realities of death and eternity. While on the surface, he may apprear friendly and approachable, he is actually shockingly hardened and resilient to the truth. Don't you see how desperate his situation is?
