King Jehoshaphat was a good king who made a terrible mistake - he made an alliance with King Ahab of Israel, the very worst of kings. He made the alliance because he thought a great deal of good would come from it, but in fact all that came of it was disaster. So today many evangelicals are making alliances with non-evangelicals, and making common cause with the Roman Catholic Church in particular. We should beware of this movement, because it can only lead to the same disaster that the alliance of Jehoshaphat and Ahab brought.
