There is no question that along with love for God, there are many reasons which might compel us to serve in the Kingdom of God. We are looking at a passage which details three reasons for why Samuel exercised his gifts and calling- and thus three reasons for why we ought to fulfill the call placed on our life. Recall that Samuel here is a boy given a man's message. At first blush, he didn't want to minister — he was afraid. And yet three things were brought to his attention which compelled him to serve.
