In this Sunday School lesson, covering Galatians 2:1-3, we see the Apostle Paul's trip to Jerusalem, which provided him the opportunity to reinforce the principle that the Gospel rejects the contribution of a person's own works. First, we see the need for the church to support the brethren, like the Antioch church did for the Jerusalem church. Then, we see the need for private discussions to make sure we're in agreement with a church's doctrine, and to receive correction. Finally, exemplified by Titus not being circumcised, we see that not only is a person not required to keep the letter of the Mosaic Law for salvation, but that he also doesn't need to keep the Mosaic Law in order to be obey to God.
