We closed out our reading through Roman's and I wanted to pass this on to you.
I love the praise and pointed word that Paul ascribes to the God of glory and grace as he closes his letter to Rome. May we echo its message and ministry to those we love and serve.
"Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faithβ to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen." Romans 16:25-27
Glory beβ¦ established, equipped, edified and encouraged β "FOR obedience to the faithβ¦"
I encourage you to consider and ponder this insight. Romans started and finished with this throbbing point.
Paul opened the letter saying, "We received grace and our calling, (whatever that calling may be), FOR obedience to the faith." Check it out... Romans 1:5 and Romans. 16:25-26.
I see these two passages like two book ends β that hold this gracious and ginormous word, before our eyes, and within reach, so that we too can see its purpose and clear point in Christ and run with it with all that we live, teach, and preach.
May we help His people seek Him so that through His established grace they may surrender and joyfully serve Him and His peopleβ¦
