Generous for Glory (humbly standing in the gap with wise advice)
Summer Series 2022
1 Samuel 25
Man Needs a New Heart
When we look at both King Saul and King David we see that we can't do or we're not going to do what's right without without the leadership of God over our life.
It's inevitable — man has to have a new heart. Now Saul had a new heart given to him also, the Spirit came upon him. But see, he didn't cultivate and nurture this work of God. So without cultivating and nurturing and remember you have to feed that what is the what we just looked at?
Fools operate without God's leadership.
Yesterday's victories can't substitute hearing a fresh word from God today.
And that little bitty woman, that pretty woman, that wise woman, was able to squelch the fuse that was burning toward the dynamite in his heart.
And because David was a man after God's own heart, you know what he did? He put the brakes on that locomotive, and shut her down, he stopped it. He stopped it.
Don't let anyone drag you out of the will of God
No one is worth getting out of the will of God for
Yesterday's victories can't substitute hearing a fresh word from God today.
Yesterday's triumph cannot REPLACE having a fresh word of truth and grace — for today's challenges and victory.
