This is a study of how God can come into a dark community and impact it with His gospel.
Paul asked the people to pray for him. Revival is God's work. History shows us that revival never comes without people crying out to God in prayer.
Charles Finney was wrong. He said that if we pray, God will send revival, as if He were obligated by our prayers. But God is sovereign in these matters. If we long for revival and do not pray, we are just playing a game of church.

Excellent teaching! As new believers, my husband and I were privileged to have Michael Haykin lead our Young Adults Bible Study group in the late 1970’s.
