God's people can have an unconditional joy and be rejoicing always in their relationship with Him. This will then impact how they live, how others are treated, and how difficulties in life are handled. God does not spare His people from the difficulties of living in a sin cursed world but does care for and sustain them through those and all times. Mentally the believer must be disciplined in thought life, concentrating on what is reality even when unseen but revealed by God. In doing so peace is promised by God and in calming the spirit His children better respond to and make decisions in regard to the difficulties being confronted with. Under God's control there too is the assurance that He will use it for good in the whole life He is working all things together as they are lived out and through.
