They used gold, silver, and brass totaling around eight tons of metal and of those eight tons nearly half was silver. All that silver had come out of Egypt where it had been more highly prized than gold. While gold does speak of royalty though silver was more important for the tabernacle because it speaks of redemption. So let's look at the silver foundation.
