In Luke 17 Jesus warns his disciples about the terrible consequences of causing the 'little ones' who were coming to faith in Him to sin. He saw the awful judgement that would come upon them. He also saw the power and liberation of divine forgiveness coming through a fellow sinner no matter how often it is required. Jesus understood that it does not take great faith to take heed to these things. It simply requires us to exercise the faith that we have been given no matter how small it seems. His disciples will accomplish some surprising works by such small faith but through it all they must have a humility of those who see themselves as unworthy servants only doing their duty. This will guard them from the pride that could so easily undermine the effectiveness of their ministry
