Sermon Point: No matter the personal cost, commit yourself to Christ and seek forgiveness for others.
1. The scene is the church; there is controversy regarding doctrine or worship (Verses 54, 8:1, 6:11, 6:14). 2. Like Stephen, you must look to Christ for self-control (Verses 55-56). 3. Out of control, close to insanity, others refuse to listen (Verses 57-58). 4. But you commit yourself to Christ; this is key (Verse 59). 5. You also seek forgiveness for others (Verse 60). 6. No matter the personal cost, commit yourself to Christ and seek forgiveness for others.

Great Sermon! This is a very good message. When we meditate on what forgiveness cost GOD, it cost all of creation, and His Son. When we think of what it cost Jesus to forgive His bride, it took His entire life, His prayers, and sacrificial death, even the beatings, humiliation, and the naked shameful, excruciating cross. Should it cost us less?
