We live in a society that believes that we can live life both ways. That we can say yes to God and yes to sin. The truth is, we cannot have it both ways. To fear the Lord is to hate evil. The root of the choice is that man is against God. Wisdom and folly both try to get us to go their way. Wisdom offers us what we need to change. Folly says we do not need to change, to be "true" to ourselves. Wisdom brings life, folly brings death. The way to receive life is that we choose it. And it is by God's grace that we have the choice. Following Jesus is wonderful, not boring. We have to choose between life (wisdom) and death (folly) everyday. Our only hope is Jesus, there is no other hope that leads to life. Jesus says come to Me all you who are weary and I will give you rest. Unless we receive Jesus, forsaking all others, we will be lost. We must trust in Him and yield our lives to Him. There are no parties and no celebrations in Hell.
