God's enemies continue to try to get the great work of God to cease through persistent threatenings. They invite Nehemiah down to the plain of Ono. He tells Sanballet and Tobiah and Geshem that he could not quit such a great work to come down to them.
The enemies wanted Nehemiah to be isolated from all fellowship and influence. They wanted to convince him that they were no different from the true believers and had his best interest in mind. They did not.
Even the priest stooped so low as to suggest that Nehemiah should come into the house of God and hide from the threats. His answer to all of these attempts is "Oh no!"
Don't listen to the Gashmu's of the world. Their goal is to stop the work of God and bring fear through their lies and deceit. When they try to intimidate through their devious ways, you just tell them "Oh no!"
