"As many as I love, I rebuke, and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent..."
This message begins with a reminder of the curse of lukewarm, "good-for-nothing" Christianity - and then delves into the many ways the Lord first rebukes us, and then chastens us. The Lord Jesus says to many of his saints today, as he said to Laodicea, "You don't care enough about the things I care about." He does not tolerate sin, and holds His saints to a much higher standard than the average Christian realizes. And He finds the lack of zeal, the lethargy, compromise and apathy displayed by many (or most) Christians to be nauseating - to the point where He says "I will spue thee out of my mouth."
This is a powerful call to repentance that we ALL need to hear - and to heed.
